Beanie and I ventured off to Newport this weekend for our first annual mother/daughter bonding beach trip extravaganza. We stayed at the Sylvia Beach Hotel at Nye Beach and it was so lovely. We read upstairs in the attic nook for hours and watched the sunset. Each room is decorated in the theme of an author and we stayed in the Dr. Seuss room.
The weather was beautifully sunny and we spent much of our time roaming the beaches and collecting smooth rocks and salty shells in our pockets.
We stopped by Cannon Beach on our way home and checked out the tide pools at Haystack Rock.
A good time was had by all.
