Last year I made the mistake of thinking Beanie wouldn't notice if we "forgot" to dye Easter eggs. I compiled a lovely Easter Basket, picked a nice bunch of tulips for the dinner table but thought little of forgoing the vinegar dyed finger tips and general smelliness of hard cooked eggs. But Easter Eve rolled around and she was in a panic. "It's TRADITION!" she wailed. I had no idea she valued the "tradition" as much as she did but boy did she make sure we bought the egg dye kit as soon as she saw it in the grocery store this year.
So what are your Easter traditions?
And on another note, we made Vanilla Roasted Pears again tonight and they are soooooooo good. Seriously. If you want a ridiculously easy dessert recipe to wow all you friends, this is it. And you will find yourself unable to wash the pan until you've literally scraped out every bit of vanilla loveliness. Spend the money. Invest in a vanilla bean.
